An incredibly scarce work attributed to the famous French occultist and writer Jacques Collin De Plancy (1793-1887). Le Livre Magique or The Magic Book was an attempt to provide the history of the supernatural, and contains details on legends and paranormal events including tales of witchcraft, goblins and ghosts among others.
Although he is most famous for his landmark work Dictionnaire Infernal, Collin de Plancy had a prolific writing career, writing over eighty works on divination, magic, alchemy, sorcery and witchcraft. For many of these he used a pseudonym, or like in this work left the authorship anonymous.
An incredibly scarce work.
